
Oakville Basketball is a community based not for profit program (Ontario Corporations Number
1670496) dedicated to grow the sport basketball in the Town of Oakville Ontario.
The Oakville Basketball Club Inc.
aims to help to meet the basketball needs in the community so that no child is left out of the game. Dedicated to growing
the Town of Oakville a basketball program where young athletes can gain the skills needed to meet whatever goals within the
sport that each individual desires to attain.
We welcome any community based basketball organization with common
goals into our fold and hope to unite the basketball community within the town of Oakville.
The Oakville Basketball
Club Inc. recognizes and thanks Clive Anderson as a significant contributor to the success of our program in his advisory
capacity.
The number of coaches interested in creating a cohesive program for the community of Oakville unified
their vision formally in 2005 incorporating the Oakville Basketball Club Inc., and we opened our first Winter House League
- a program for anyone who wanted to play ball. By August of 2006 over 1000 participants were involved in the Oakville Basketball
Club Inc.'s programs.OUR GOALTo
offer all athletes the opportunity to play under the Oakville Basketball Club Inc. Banner at any level of play; REP(13 teams)
and Select(4 teams) -Venom or vipers;
Winter and Summer House League.
We now offer programs for
all ages:
Microballers - age 5 to 8
House League - Winter and Summer from age 9 to 17,
Adult
House League - ages 18 plus
Power Skillz Session- all ages MISSION STATEMENT
To provide a program that includes all youth
at every level of play. To allow athletes to participate at the level of competitiveness
to which they aspire.
To operate a program that is affordable and of equal access for
all members of the community: That all players who have an interest will be given equal access to the program regardless of
financial situation.
To incorporate life lessons and values into the program for the
betterment of each individual athlete and coach.
To give each and every athlete a sense
of self worth.
